It might have to do with the fact that I already had my meltdown 6 weeks ago when my IT band derailed me for awhile. I was pretty positive I would have to walk the whole marathon.

I always break it up by the neighborhoods...north to the Zoo, then south to Boystown, thru Old Town to Downtown, west to Charity Village, south to Taylor Street, Pilsen, Chinatown...then the boring part to Sox park; east to IIT and north on Michigan. You can hear the crowds and see the Jumbotron....right on Roosevelt and up the one "hill" of the whole course and then left to the finish line!
