The Athletic Stance Revised: finessing the finer points

The other morning, while making breakfast, Dave and I were discussing the elusive Athletic Stance.  I would definitely say I have made progress on it.  I have gone from this:


to this:
(At least most of the time.)

Dave let me know that it is not, in fact, a constant static position to be used at all times.  He explained that your body should remain in a relaxed position.

CHEEE-yeck.

One arm needs to be straight out (in order to maintain balance).

No problemo.

The other needs to be available to wave around thusly (in order to ward off your opponents).


Well, he may not have said it, but he definitely inferred "wave furiously".

So. I think I've got it:




Awww yeah.  This race season's gonna ROCK!
